Jalen Ramsey isn’t happy with the Jaguars, Landons Collins tells him to come to the Redskins – Hogs Haven

This week has had some interesting stories coming out of Jacksonville(shocker!). Jaguars Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin wasn’t too happy with his team not having 100% attendance for the team’s voluntary workouts. Doug Marrone named the two players missing, CB Jalen Ramsey and ILB Telvin Smith.

“We’re very close to 100 percent attendance, and quite frankly, our players should be here building the concept of team, working hard side by side, constructing our bond of togetherness, formulating our collective priorities and goals,” Coughlin said, according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco. “Success in the NFL demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of team. The hard work that many try to avoid is the major building block for the development of an outstanding football team.

”It’s not about rights and privileges. It’s about obligations and responsibility, and the question is: Can we count on you?”

The NFLPA weighed in on missing voluntary workouts:

Jalen Ramsey’s agent also had something to say about Coughlin calling out his player. Ramsey added that the Jaguars know the exact reason why he’s not there.

Then Landon Collins got involved. The newly signed Redskins safety threw Ramsey a lifeline to come to a stable, respected organization lead by Team President Bruce Allen. Who could turn down that offer?

Ramsey has one year left on his rookie deal, and the Jaguars said they would exercise his 5th year option before this incident. GM David Caldwell has said he wouldn’t trade Ramsey, but you never say never in the NFL. Collins was probably at least half joking when he solicited Ramsey, but would you make a trade for Jalen Ramsey? Would you package Josh Norman into the deal?
